[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have owned Bosch appliances for years (dishwashers, washing machines) and have never been disappointed. We purchased the Bosch Series 8 washing machine, front loader 10 kg for our new home that we are building. It is easy to use and has a great range of wash programs. The addition of the assist steam function is a welcomed upgrade from our previous Bosch washing machine. Definitely recommend Bosch if you're looking for high-quality, reliable appliances that deliver great results.
Best for sure!
I spent a long time researching before buying this. First Bosch but friends had recommended it. My biggest choice was size and justifying the higher price tag. Online had the best price, best shipping arrangement (next day free, and take away your old one if you wish). The Series 8 is a must buy vs the Series 6 as its got the better quality parts for longevity. My previous machine was an 8.5kg LG and the door opening is smaller on the 9kg Bosch and since I wash King Size bedding I wanted the biggest machine. No difference in external size, just bigger internal drum. Contrary to what the description indicates and confusion posted in other reviews, I can confirm that you can indeed fill it even on the quicker modes - if you read the manual it simply states that the recommended load size guide is reduced when you use the speed perfect option (reduces wash time) but the manual says this is simply to reduce wrinking!!!! The machine will take a full load without any warning lights etc even on the speed perfect. You simply see a quick flash showing the recommended reduced load size. eg. 4kg. I have had mine now for a few weeks and wash most days - I am very happy with it. Standout features are: 1) looks - black door, black touchscreen panel - totally different to the 9kg Series 8. 2) Good program options for quick washing - I don't have time for 3 hour loads, everything is run on Speed perfect at full load - with King bedding etc. 3) Quiet - lovely!!!! 4) Wash Quality - Everything is coming about SOFT - same washing powder, so must be the machine. The 4D wash that foams up your powder first seems to greatly improve the way items are washed. I used to get a bit of residue on my clothing from the LG but not with the Bosh - I'm converted for sure. I decided not to spend extra on the feature to self-measure the washing powder as this only works for liquids not powder and we buy powder. hope this helps anyone else considering the Bosch Series 8.
