Hopeless and failed completely after 2 years
The machine was working OK until suddenly the door would not open at the end of a wash. Having found the manual release to unload the clothes, I called the service team.
"Oh thats a common problem with the lock on the Bosch units" was the reply from the service person. We'll order the part from Melbourne. Over a week later they turned up only to discover they needed another part BUT that had to get approved by the insurer (extended warranty offered by AOL). 2 weeks later they came with the main inverter board BUT that didn't fix it and I was told the moto had gone too. The technician said it would likely be replaced and it would take a week.
3 weeks later I am still trying to get my credit and still no washing machine.
NOT good enough especially over Christmas.
Never buy a Bosch washing machine.
Bosch - Never again!
I bought my washer and now that it is 8 months out of warranty it wont work properly! The 1 hour wash takes 2 hours and wont even wash clothes properly. It wets the clothes and spins them every now and then but doesnt actully fill with water and wash. Last Bosch I every buy.
It worked, for a few months…
Drive motor failed after a just few months, leaving us with no working washing machine for a long time. Technician said that it had a low quality Chinese spin motor fitted and it was no surprise it failed.
Replaced with a German motor with no problems, exactly as it should have been out of the box. It appears that you are now paying for the brand and not necessarily quality components.
