Most Recent
Great washing machine
Lots of options including soaking and quick wash funtions. Most of thetime I use the automnatic wash funtion and it doses the detergent and fabric softener. No problems after 3 years.
Needs longer electrical cord
Fairly happy with the machine performance, although I think the intelligent dosing of fabric conditioner is insufficient: towels dry with a stiff rather than a soft pile. But my biggest annoyance is the length of the power cord; while it is 1.5m long, it emerges from the base of the machine, and doesn’t reach the power point. Bosch advises not to use an extension lead, but the electrician wouldn't wire up another power point - as it would requiring drilling through a stud, and the wet area in a 50 year old house is likely to have asbestos sheeting behind the wall. Also, I am unhappy with the fact that the power cord comes out from the machine near the water intake; is this electrically safe or wise?
Innovation
This replaced a 10 year old machine which was a bit of a clunker. You don't realise this until you use a 21Century appliance. From weighing washing to auto dosing I watch in awe as the machine does its things . Most loads are done quietly and in about 30 minutes. Loads are dry enough and wrinkles are minimum. We have not experienced any large vibration nor machine moving across the laundry.
