We bought this oven as a part of our kitchen renovations. As it happens, although we purchased it in February 2023, we had it installed in August 2023 ( reno didn't go as planned). As a product , it's really good and easy to use. I again started to enjoy in baking cookies and breads. But, after less than 2 years of use, touch panel stoped responding ( and I am not heavy oven user - 1 to 2 times per week). Of course, Bosch only provides 2 years warranty, but for that price I was expecting more longevity. In a nutshell - very good product, but doesn't last long time. And on top everything, have to wait for parts to arrive from Germany. Not worth that money.

I was thrilled with this oven when I first purchased it. However, I had to replace the electronics, luckily just prior to the end of the warranty period. The serviceman advised me that I should remove the side rails before cleaning - this is not stated in the handbook, and I find it very hard to do. Sadly, the proving function was faulty - temp too high - with the new electronics. I just used the steam function and reduced the temperature. Further down the track, the touch panel became more and more difficult to use and now the top left panel just won't activate, the middle one sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. So I can't select 4D Hot Air and add steam. I also cannot activate the Cleaning function. This is just not good enough for such an expensive oven. My previous Fischer and Paykel oven (admittedly a much simpler device) worked flawlessly for many, many years. I would not recommend this or any similar Bosch oven.

Pros - Pleasant sounds, UI decent. - Fast heat up - Even baking - Looks good. No more decals wearing off with age. - Telescopic rails - although can pinch fingers if not careful. - 30 degree temp min temperature, great for proofing dough. - 275 degree max temp (and 300 for grill) good for pizza. Cons: - Dial is flimsy and clumsy - hasn't got the solid tactile feel a $4000 appliance should have. The dial on my smart watch leaves it for dead. - Plug thermocouple in and instantly "Beef" disappears from the meats in the Assist menu. All Bosch could say was "only supported meats will be shown.", so Beef not supported. I was hoping for an assisted first 30 minute high temp followed by temp reduction for rest. - Why do I get nagged to empty the water container if not using steam? If anything, having water in it will stop premature cracking due to heat like it does with coffee machine tanks. - Pyro mode says remove racks etc - they're the hardest parts to clean manually! Again, just all these unexpected gotchas. Overall satisfied with it - just not wowed.
