I bought this to replace an old Omega dishwasher which turned out to be made by Smeg. This one is a much higher spec machine and it shows with the height adjustable shelf arrangement and being able to fold dish racks down when washing saucepans. It comes with a small cutlery basket and a shelf at the top for cutlery. Have to say I preferred the cutlery basket in the old Omega but now using the top shelf exclusively as it gives more room for pots and plates on the bottom shelf. I also found the plastic guides for the plates annoying so lifted them out. The features I really love about this new Smeg are the 24 hour timer and the auto opening door. I recently put solar panels on the house so it's great to be able to set the timer to wash in the middle of the day when it's running off my solar power saving on energy costs. The auto opening door is great as it lets all the steam out so things are pretty much dry when I get home from work. Only things that don't dry are rims of plastics and the tops of cups and glasses but I doubt any dishwasher could manage to dry these things anyway. I disabled the salt dispenser as I don't have hard water and use the Aldi Platinum tablets and things come out spotless. I though my old Omega was fairly quiet but this one is like it's running in stealth mode, you can barely hear it once it fills. All up very happy with Smeg and got it for a super price from AO with a price match to The Good Guys.

We bought our SMeg DWA6315X dishwasher a month ago, it has been really great. It is very quiet, you don't even know it is going, the dishes, cutlery etc are dry when the cycle ends, there is no condensation moisture as the door opens at the end of the cycle to allow any steam/ heat escape to prevent condensation. An excellent machine, we have no complaints.
