Quality control needs an overhaul
While we absolutely love our pink Smeg fridge it did arrive with some scratches on it. Three further replacement fridges were sent to us & we were told these had been inspected first before dispatch but they all arrived with significant structural damage to the outside. In the end we settled on the original fridge with scratches as this was the best out of the bad bunch. For the price you would expect better.

I purchased this fridge to upgrade capacity from my small one, but mainly was interested in getting the 1950's look right in my retro kitchen. It really is a centerpiece and a couple months on is running perfectly (as you would expect at that price of course). The only downside is that what you gain in style you give up in some minor features. Just simple things like integrated ice cube holders that you would get in standard cheaper fridges and the small size of the in-door shelves. That said, no regrets - it really makes my kitchen sing. Smeg are renowned to be top quality and stylish so for me that is worth giving up some accessories for.

Quite frankly, if this fridge was inferior to its piers, it wouldn’t matter. It’s looks are what sold it to us. It just so happens it’s an awesome fridge on the inside too, so it’s a win win.
