SMEG Bar Fridge FAB10HRR So far, we have bought a SMEG stove/oven, a SMEG side-by-side fridge/freezer, a SMEG front loader washing machine and now the SMEG bar fridge. The SMEG stove/oven was our 1st SMEG purchase and it’s OUTSTANDING QUALITY is what led to our next 3 SMEG purchases. The plumber that installed the gas stove/oven was drooling over it, he liked it that much! He also recognized it’s quality. I say all of the above, as we were never asked to write reviews for the first 3 items (all bought from Appliances Online … it’s where we buy all of our appliances … they can’t be beat!). Our kitchen is very small, the spot for a fridge is right next to the stove/oven (NOT the proper place for a fridge!). Our side-by-side is in our ‘garage room’ and we are using the bar fridge in the kitchen for the things we access all the time. Therefore, we wanted something we didn’t have to defrost. You do get what you pay for, so we went for yet another SMEG (which seemed to be the ONLY bar fridge that was self-defrosting). It’s a nice size, larger than most bar fridges. Our neighbor was visiting one day, we showed him the fridge. He opened the door to have a look inside & when he shut the door & felt it ‘grip’ (as all fridges should do), he made an ‘Ooooo’ sound. We’ve been happy with the fridge thus far (it’s only been about 1 month). It’s so much better than the Husky Bar Fridge we bought almost a year & a half ago (that was noisy, you had to make sure the door was shut & I was constantly defrosting it … cute, but a waste of money). It would have been nice to have more color choices though, but I do love the red & LOVE it’s vintage look. It does make dripping water sounds when in defrost mode (not loud, just a bit annoying as it makes me think the sink tap is dripping).
