Operating the oven is quick and simple thanks to the TFT display. Use the control ring with clear text and touch symbols to set your preferred heating method, temperature, and time.

The bakingSensor Plus measures the moisture level in the oven during the fully-automatic baking process, guaranteeing perfect results. The roastingSensor Plus measures the temperature at three different points in the meat for highest accuracy.
Speed up cooking times
The fastPreheat function heats the oven rapidly. With coolStart you can speed up the cooking of frozen food as there’s no preheating needed – your dish will be done in the same number of minutes you see on the packaging. Both intelligent functions save you precious time when you need fast results.
Far less oven cleaning – ecoClean Plus
ecoClean Plus is a special coating that disintegrates dirt from oil and grease. It begins working from the start of roasting, grilling or baking. What's more, the ecoClean material automatically regenerates every time you heat it – throughout the life of the appliance. Now it's even easier to keep your oven clean. We recommend activating the regeneration cycle from time to time to achieve optimum cleaning of all EcoClean coated walls.

Excellent oven & the app is now great
Have used the oven for a couple of years as of writing this review.
The oven is reliable and produces superior results to other ovens I have in the house & have used over the years. The steam function is not perfect (have had issues with errors & use that were resolved with firmware update) and that aspect is probably the weakest link of this product.
Home Connect is now a great app for Australian users. It could be excellent if Home Connect released deeper integration with Google Home/Control4/Home Assistant/etc. Right now there are some odd limitations/quirks which make little sense (you can do some things via app with prompts but you can't do the exact same thing via Google Home? Maybe there is safety or compliance rationale? Suffice to say it's quirky).
Could have been a 5 star review if the product offering was perfect so far as steam and app is concerned out of the box. Given the price point you'd hope for that to be the case. Full credit to Siemens, however, for offering ongoing support, firmware updates, app updates, etc - that kind of support restores confidence in the purchase
Uneven Cooking
This oven doesn't cook evenly - the food at the back on the oven burns whilst the front of the oven is not as hot.
Even when not using the Steam option, there is a great deal of steam that rises when the oven door is opened. There was so much steam inside the oven that the drip tray overflowed and leaked water on to the kitchen floor.
The self cleaning option is a gimick.
I am not happy at all with our choice of this Siemans oven.
Overpriced & doesn't reach or maintain temperature
This oven has been a real dissapointment and is ridiculously overpriced given the limitations compared to direct rivals from other brands and other cheaper models.
Having had this oven for 13 months now we've given it a good chance to change our minds but nothing seems to have improved, there's been no movement on the home-connect app that still isn't available in Australia despite them advertising the wifi functionality when I bought it.
The biggest frustration is that it does a poor job of the one thing you buy an oven for.... It doesn't reach or hold the correct temperature. This has resulted in most of our meals not being cooked after following the directions on the packet and needing to add another few minutes to the cooking time. I have a meat probe (Seperate to the attached picture) which regularly shows this oven sitting 20 degrees below the the set temperature.
The menu selections which were the biggest attraction to buying this model of oven are a total waste of time too. For example when you plug the Siemens temperature probe in, the options that are available for various 'Beef' cuts dissapear and you're left with 'Lamb', 'Pork' or 'Meat Loaf made from fresh minced meat'. Most of the things we've tried to cook aren't in the menu options or seem to cook better when you just follow known recipes rather than trusting the oven to cook it right.
If I had my time again I would have saved myself a bunch of money and purchased a cheaper oven from elsewhere. We have a Kitchen renovation coming up and I was looking to fill the whole kitchen with Siemens appliances as they looked great in the shop but if the rest of the appliances are anything like this oven then I wouldn't consider it.
