Firmware lets it down

On the positive side, the picture quality is excellent. Unfortunately, however, the firmware is poor and unreliable. Very frequent (almost daily) network dropouts, even when using a wired ethernet connection, and occasionally i the OS becomes unresponsive. It's a real shame, because it is a quality build and picture. It is just badly let down by the poor reliability of the software on it.

Network connection issues

Extremely disappointed. This was not a cheap TV. It was great for two years, but suddenly one day it gave an error message: Check Network Connection, Error 105. Now it loses connection to the network at least twice per day, and the only way to get it to reconnect is to manually reset the DNS settings in the TV menu again and again until it randomly jolts back to life and reconnects to the network. It didn't matter whether you use a wired connection or a wireless connection. This is very frustrating, and disappointing because the TV is only 2.5 years old and worked beautifully until a month ago. What a costly mistake it was to buy this LG TV.
