Vacuum cleaner does the job well as expected. A bit heavy than what I would have liked. Batteries last only 40 min but sufficient for my needs. Overall a good trusted well built cleaner

After using my Brother's V15 Dyson over Christmas, I was convinced this was going to be my next vaccuum. I had been after a stick for the convenience of grab-and-go, but had mixed reviews from family and friends on the different makes and models out there. Main comments were they were disappointed with the power and suction of various models. My Brother had had the v15 since July, 2021. He raved and raved about it, and after watching A LOT of youtube reviews, I finally invested in my v15. I cannot believe how powerful it is, and for how powerful it is, it is extremely quiet. This is a huge plus for my dog who is terrified of 'the monster known as Vakoom.' With how quiet the v15 is, he is happy enough to be in the same room as 'Vakoom.' The laser is extremely useful for picking up pet hair on hard surfaces. I thought it would be a gimmick - it is not. I thought our floors were pretty clean before - apparently they were not. My socks are no longer covered in canine confetti and I swear this alone will prolong the life of our washing machine. If I had to pick on anything, it would be 1) after a while the unit gets heavy (and I do a lot of weights). When my arm gets sore I switch sides and vacuum left handed for a bit (which is fine, if not a little uncoordinated - maybe this is my pathway to ambidexterity?) and 2) The trigger function is a let down. Being locked in claw-arm mode for a while can be a bit straining on the forearm and you may start to feel like a crustacean. I'm looking at options to get a band that goes over the trigger to take the pressure off my trigger finger.

It is excellent on hard floors, and I am very happy with that. The middle power level, which seems to be the default for carpets, does not really seem to be very powerful and I do not feel like it is doing much to clean the carpets and rug. The "Boost" mode severely reduces the battery time and does not always work in that the attachment head rollers do not engage. When it does work though it is admittedly pretty powerful. I had a V7 and don't feel like it is a huge improvement in terms of power or battery given the massive extra cost. The laser is useful on hard floors to see dust and other particles but generally requires the right light levels (fairly dim) to work best. Ultimately, I think it is good but very expensive for what it is. I am not sure it is currently value for money.
