I am extremely happy with my Spot and Scrub.I have white shiny tiles and they are streak free. It navigates around obstacles with great suctions on the grout the tiles.There is ample battery power to do the entire house. Love my Dysons.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this for a 4 weeks trial at home. Have been using various Dyson vacuums for 10 years and G1 Wash mop recently. Vaccum function : I love how I can wake up to clean floors each morning. I have a Labrador and I was surprised how well this picks up the dog’s hair. It did get stuck on carpet tassels in the first few days. But it had somehow resolve this on its own. We also took a few days to learn what obstacles the Robot cannot manage… like the legs of our dinning chairs . We resorted to putting them up on the table in the evening for the scheduled 6am clean. Cleaning function : Cleaning with 60deg water is a great add on, as I have natural stone floors which don’t take to detergents or having too much water well. At the end it cleans and dries the cleaning roller which is a great step up from my G1 Wash mop. Down side is whenever the robot goes over the grouts on the natural stone floors, the bumps causes it to spill some water on the floor. I do have to spot them and wipe it up. And it also finds it hard to spot stains . App is fairly easy to use. Took a few days to get used to it. Decided to download the app on IPad as well… bigger screen, easier to see and navigate. I set up the schedules and tasks (how wet I want the mop to be :-vacuum & mop or just vacuum) and let it do its job. Took a few days to learn where the obstacles are, and I set it up in the app as “avoid areas”. The LiDar tech is great at helping the robot recognise the different rooms in the house, especially when I want a targeted cleanup. It took time to “teach” the robot. After a week, we knew where the obstacles were, and put in a place a quick routine of putting away the clutter the evening before our early morning cleaning. After that, the robot ran on schedule without any problems. All in all, really helpful addition if you have a dog that sheds a lot. The price tag is a slight deterrent though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Packaging is Excellent Unpack and Assemble was straightforward with accurate and helpful how-to video. We were promised a telephone call to help with the installation, but this never happened. However, install and setup was pretty straightforward. No cleaning fluid was provided to use in the test. Clean tap water was used only. Power Connection installation is best performed before the robot unit base is fitted. The plug is intuitively the wrong way around and is best fitted with the charger station laid on its front How to Video – Connect to Dyson App is largely useless as it does not show connection steps or screenshots of app during connection Brush Colours The sweeper brushes would be better coloured Red and Green with Red on Left (Port) and Green on Right (Starboard) – this would match with standard colour coding for left and right. Mapping Cycle was completed with no problem although a better description of the mapping process would be useful to understand that the robot does not need to cover 100% of the floor surface to map the room dimensions. The robot becomes entangled with the tassels on rugs and will see this as an obstruction and will not attempt to clean the rug The instructions include the removal of obstructions and cables. It should also advise that dining chairs should be pulled out from the table allowing sufficient space for the robot to cover the whole area under the table. Incomplete Coverage the robot missed one room completely – no obstruction to entry, it briefly entered the room and then exited back to the base station, before resuming in another room. My wife pointed to an area that the robot had missed (while it was close) saying “look you’ve missed a bit”, the robot immediately went to the area indicated. Was this a coincidence or was it part of the AI programme? If intended behaviour it should be included in the use guidance – and is an amazing feature. The robot struggles to identify stains or marks requiring wash on wooden floors with natural knots. The robot has to be set to wash the whole floor to remove marks. For the rooms cleaned later in the cycle the robot left behind blobs of dirty foam – there was no soap/detergent added to the clean water tank. We attempted to initiate a clean of a specific room – it was not obvious from the app GUI as to how to do this. We tried a long press on the room with no response. On ‘selecting’ the room and starting the clean the robot started cleaning the wrong room (we assumed that the robot was starting the whole cycle again). We tried to use the skip function to move to the next room to cycle to the missing room. The skip failed to work – possibly a SW bug. The clean was stopped, the robot returned to the docking station. Once the robot clean cycle was complete it became evident that touching a room deselected the room from the clean (the opposite of our assumption). We suggest that a text popup confirmation of actions such as this be implemented. The robot is quite noisy in operation; it would prevent use at night in ‘quiet hours’ when people are sleeping Obstructions The requirement to clear the room of obstructions and remove rugs (see above), means that the clean cycle must be deliberate. It cannot be set to run using the schedule as cleans must be more planned than routine. Any clutter prevents the robot reaching areas an so large areas of rooms are not cleaned.
