The De La Espada Drape Desk provides visual expression through thoughtful design: the leather-wrapped tabletop is articulated as a “drape” that falls over the table legs, lending a sense of continuity to the silhouette. Two drawers tucked underneath run the length of the table for ample storage. On the back, a flip down door reveals cable management.

Craftsmanship
Crafted at the solar-powered De La Espada factory in Portugal. Designed by a creative partner and rigorously engineered with the support of their in-house product development team and expert craftspeople.
Material Notes
Natural colour and grain variations in every plank make each piece an individual. Traditional wood joinery bonded with wood glue ensures structural integrity. Select components made from plywood. All finishes are non-toxic and applied by hand, sprayed or rubbed. Drawer interiors are made from basswood, a blond timber with outstanding stability in varying climates, ensuring a smooth-running function. Drawers are detailed with dovetail joinery and a soft-close mechanism.
Furniture/Homeware Material Details
Timber is sustainable solid wood from North America or Europe, offering long-term repairability of the surface. Leather sourced from tanneries in Italy using only hides from European cattle.
