Italian artist and designer Emanuel Gargano was born in Assisi, Umbria. He seamlessly blends 'emptiness' and 'nothingness' in architectural spaces, drawing inspiration from Assisi's nature and culture. While his London studio collaborates with architects and artists, his Assisi atelier embodies a traditional crafts workshop where his fascination with light culminates in a collection of lamps that soften shadows rather than simply illuminate.
Lapis Design Inspiration
Like an ancient Roman pavement emerging from a rural landscape, the geometries of Lapis recalls the stones smoothened by the time. Not just a simple sofa, the living concept designed by Emanuel Gargano and Anton Cristelli is a new interpretation of a relaxing experience, which seeks to reconnect the human experience with the natural world.

Lapis can be configured to various sizes and combinations, according to the needs of the space: from the most classic and traditional shapes to irregular free-form combinations.

The padding in memory foam gives the cushions excellent resilience to retain their shape. A simple yet refined design that echoes the temporal dimension as the main element of a person’s wellbeing.
