Coastal Luxe by Melissa Bonney

As seen in the Winnings Design & Culinary Guide Issue 06

The insider’s guide to adding a touch of beachside glamour.

Melissa Bonney of The Designory has curated an exquisite collection of materials, furnishings and finishings for Barefoot Bay Villa, in Byron Bay.

Embodying easy-living coastal materiality with a quintessential touch of beach glamour, the villa includes three private bedroom suites, a kids’ room featuring a playful netting space, and a serene guest room, all adorned with strong contemporary finishes and natural materials.

Luxe design elements include bathroom accessories in brushed nickel from the Rogerseller Eccentric range, ranging from towel and robe rails and hooks to wall mixers and bath outlets. The soft, warm, metal tone not only exudes elegance but hides fingerprints, making it perfect for a family home.

High-performance appliances enhance the easy-living experience including Fisher & Paykel’s 569-litre French Door ActiveSmart fridge, which adjusts temperature, airflow and humidity, and the brand’s heritage-styled freestanding cooker.

Ultimately the Barefoot Bay Villa is a reflection of great design, says Bonney, utilising the expertise of each business and brand involved.
