Westinghouse freestanding Gas Oven WLG517WBNG
The oven had an extremely noisy fan. In addition the outside of the oven and the knobs get extremely hot when the oven is in use (too hot to touch without an oven mit if on for a while). I called Westinghouse, the technician came out and changed the fan, this resolved the fan issue. In regards to the outside of the oven (particularly the side of the unit and the knobs) being extremely hot, the service technician produced an Australian Standards document and a 2 hour procedure I needed to perform while testing the temperature with an infrared thermometer. The technician was unable to perform the test as it takes too long... thus I was left with the option to purchase an infrared thermometer, perform the 2 hour test and call them back if it didn't meet Australian standards, which I am sure they were banking on me not doing.. and admittedly I haven't to date. I am very disappointed as my previous Westinghouse oven was fantastic and definitely did not get that hot on the surface of the outside of the oven. I paid more for the oven compared to cheaper brands... now wish I went for the cheaper brand. Appliances on line however were fantastic to deal with and I would buy from them again... next time would be more careful to check reviews from a wider source of websites.

Oven
The oven looks great and is value for money. In actual use, when using the grill or oven, the top part of the oven gets hot pretty quick and use of knobs is problematic when it is hot. Even the ignition fails to work till the appliance has cooled off. But, other than that, the practical aspect of the appliance works as expected in comparison to the usability aspect.
