Great fridge
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my new fridge about six months ago after my old one, different brand, ‘died’ after 19 years. It had to fit into a specific kitchen space with cupboards above, and I am lucky this one did. I can’t believe how roomy it is. I now have spare space within it whereas I never did before. The deli drawer is fantastic, and the tall space it can leave adjacent is so good. Lots of door shelving and security for bottles so they don’t rattle and won’t fall out. Six months on I am absurdly pleased with it.
Does the job, but...
Replacing an older Westinghouse full fridge that died after 10+ years, this one has glass shelves which already require more cleaning and the shelves in the door are not adjustable
Do your homework
I purchased a Westinghouse 242L upright fridge on the understanding and advice that it was a frost free fridge. The dimensions and capacity suited my needs, but I was advised by a sales team member that it was frost free. I think a fridge at the price paid - just under $1k - and of this capacity should be frost free. There is a gap in the market for those wanting a wine/food spare fridge without a freezer. So don't take a salesperson's advice ad hoc - check with the maker and reviews first.
