My new machine.
Totally brilliant! I bought this machine to replace an 2007 Omega. The external dimensions are similar but the Omega was only 5kg while the Samsung is 9kg!! A bit of Tardis technology going on there. This machine is so easy to use, smooth, beautiful looking and really quiet, even on the spin cycle. It has a convenient 15 minute minute wash but be aware, the spin cycle isn’t long so the clothes are slightly more damp than a full wash. I did much research on which new machine to buy, there’s an unbelievable number of choices to confuse us all, but I’m very happy I chose this Samsung model. 5 stars from me!!!
Actually a disappointing purchase
Got this 2 months ago to replace an 8 year old Bosch that’s bearings had failed and couldn’t be repaired. So I’ve found myself comparing it to that Bosch model. The Samsung washes clothes fine, although the control panel isnt as easy to use. It has a handy “delay end” option but it doesn’t allow you to set the minutes, only hours from when you create the delay end setting (although it displays the end time in minutes and hours, so it seems weird it only lets you toggle the hour). Also was delivered without the accessory that fits in the detergent drawer - this is needed to allow you to wash with liquid detergent. The manual implies this is an optional accessory, again an annoying thing to not realise prior to purchase that we apparently will have to buy separately! Most annoying thing with the Samsung washer though is the fact the door doesn’t open completely, only just a bit beyond 90 degrees. This completely obstructs our laundry walk way area. So can’t leave the door open to dry properly if you need to come and go from the laundry, it ends up being bumped closed and I’m faith sure will end up stinking soon. Wish we’d been able to find out about these annoying features before choosing this washer as we spent ages comparing the options.
Happy so far with Samsung Smart Front Load WM
This is our second Samsung front load WM. We have had this machine about a month and very happy so far.
