For the fridge storage location, it was either go smaller or go larger and modify the kitchen. I was lucky Mitsubishi make this size fridge and has an excellent energy use star rating. We really like this product.

Have had this fridge 3 months now and wanted to wait a little while before coming back to review. So far no complaints! We were looking at two models and decided on this one partly because Mitsubishi have a good reputation. It is very quiet and it keeps things cold which is all we really needed. We love the extra freezer space which has allowed us to buy meat in bulk and store pre-made meals etc. This fridge was a big jump up in size for us (from previous refrigerator) but I still feel like we could almost use MORE space inside. 2 adults and 3 young children and we like to entertain and do big bulk shops. We cook from scratch with a lot of fresh ingredients. Still, I think any bigger and random stuff would collect. I like that some of the shelves can come out to allow for storing higher objects - wine bottles, cask wine, large jars etc. I feel like those plastic egg trays which are standard are a bit of a waste of time... we also took a couple of the door shelves out to allow for storing taller bottles. One reviewer complained about the lights not being bright enough but we think they are fine. Overall really happy. Hoping it lasts us the next 10 years +! (This review is about the refrigerator not Appliances Online but I do have to say that I was thoroughly impressed with the service. I ordered about midday and the new fridge was delivered by 8am the following day! It was so handy having the old fridge removed too. All in the pouring rain. The delivery guys were fantastic!)

Great fridge. Very quiet. heaps of shelving and storage. In both fridge (+fridge door) and freezer. I did a lot of research and couldn't quite reconcile with all the exxy french door fridges with all their water + ice contraptions that take up a lot of fridge space and doors that are up to 300mm thick and need large spaces to fit in. Being a tall fridge access to the fridge on lower half is easy. I also don't get having the freezer on the bottom as in reality you have get on ur knees all the time to get anything from those types of fridges - Not so with the black beast you can access most all of the shelves whilst standing as it is so tall. It is real fridge with out all the blingy bells and whistles, that suits a busy family of four, we load it up each week with room to spare. - so would also suit a larger family. The dairy section with slide out shelf works great. The fridge has one of the largest volumes on the market for a standard configuration and competes very well (volume-wise) with many larger french door fridges Highly recommended. and good value for money if comparing with french doors at the $2.5-5k mark Also note the fridge colour is black with a 'pearlescence' - sparkles Slight niggles: 1) as the door can take so much in storage it also becomes a little heavy to open(possiblly because the seals are very tight being new) and hold open. 2) The light in the fridge is a little dim and to the rear of the cabinet. There is no light in the freezer. We've only had it one month so i cannot comment on power consumption to date. but it did get four stars. It was a close call between this and the Samsung 628L. But the there was more storage shelves in the Mitsubishi especially on the door. The Samsung seriously lacked storage on the door - and no place for eggs(if u keep em in the fridge)
