Good fridge spoilt by brittle interior plastic
I bought this in April 2020. It was my second Mitsubishi fridge, having given the first one to my daughter so I clearly like the brand. The fridge works well, things are cold or frozen as they should be and my electricity bill is reasonable. The dairy compartment at the top closes with a plastic flap. I accidentally closed the fridge door without closing the flap first and, instead of the flap just pushing shut as a similar flap did on my previous one, one of the plastic pivots snapped and the flap fell off. I’m still trying to work out how to glue it back together. I’m sure I’m not the only person to have done this. It’s annoying that an expensive and otherwise good fridge should be designed in this way and also that it should be constructed with such flimsy materials.
Mitsubishi 508L Fridge MR-508EK-ST-A
We recently bought this fridge form Winnings and we're very impressed. It was the only fridge we could find which (at 1650mm) easily fitted within our 1700mm height limit. Strangely, nearly all fridges are taller these days. It is extremely quiet, has a huge freezer and extra wide door storage in both fridge and freezer. It has a 4.5 Star energy rating so it's very efficient (340kWh per year). Just two minor niggles - the interior light is too dull and the top freezer shelf feels flimsy. Otherwise brilliant.
Advice and service from Winnings was outstanding and their price highly competitive. Couldn't be happier.
