G'day! Both coming from the bush and considering myself a good cook, I've always wanted to buy an AGA like so many farmhouse kitchens of my childhood had, but the houses I've bought during my lifetime had "good enough" stoves in them and I had other priorities with family and so on, so I persevered with them. When our over-rated and therefore overpriced St George we bought for our new home died for the umpteeth time some months back, we decided not to spend any more money on it and go for the real thing. An AGA was still out of our price range, but the Falcon sibling looked the goods, so we bought the 110 Professional+ with the matching range hood and got a sweet discount on them for buying both. Very happy making. The standard of the staff and service from Appliances Online was unmatched, very easy to do business with and prompt with live contact updates about delivery. Very impressive. The real joy, though, is in using the stove and ovens. The Burners light first click and are easily regulated with the knobs to give absolute control over the cooking process. The variety and number of them means that no matter how many I'm cooking for, I can time all the meal components easily. The complimentary Wok stand and grill plate fit sturdily on the stove top as if they're made for the unit ;-), work very well and, just as importantly, safely. Best of all, though, are the ovens - two of them plus a grill and a warming oven - Whoo! Hoo! Though I mostly use the excellent fa-forced oven, the non-fan-forced oven's door-mounted roasting pan, which I feared would prove to be a gimmick, in fact saves lots of back and knee bending and works a whole lot better than I thought it would. Just goes to show, an old dog can learn new tricks! Most impressive for me is the fact that the ovens come up to heat quickly - I now know to wait until half way through meal prep to turn on the oven instead of my previous practice of preheating the oven to temp as the first thing to do. Better still, they stay at the set temperature with few power-ups to maintain it AND best of all, they cook / roast / grill to perfection. My pastries have never been lighter or crisper, my roasts more succulent nor my cakes so risen. Well worth the extra money!
