Very thin chrome on racks
I love this oven but sadly the racks let it down. The newer model racks have an edge that makes flat trays hard to remove (this was not on the older model).
The chrome on the rack wears off with any scrubbing making them almost impossible to clean. You really have to clean regularly with a soft cloth and soapy water. Maybe soak them overnight?
The best oven we've ever had.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our Electrolux EVEP626DSD replaced an old under bench oven and has been the best upgrade to our kitchen cooking appliances. The operation control system for the oven is really intuitive and extremely easy to use. The extending rail system on the oven shelves make getting heavy dishes or casseroles in and out of a hot oven easy and safe. The half oven is a great addition and we use it for a variety of cooking but at times just for warming plates and serving dishes for a meal. the oven has good lighting and cleaning is easy work being at eye level. This is without a doubt the best oven we have ever had.
Crome Racks
My Electrolux oven is only two and a half years old and the racks are losing their chrome plating and yes I remove the racks before turning on the self clean function, very disappointing.
