storage compartments easy to use, keeps veggies fresh
Looks great, BUT…..
I bought this fridge based on the reputation of Electrolux and I need a fridge to fit a certain space, AND I was impressed with the look of it. I bought it about 18 months ago.
As a refrigerator, it works well. There’s plenty of space in the 3 drawers in the freezer. I like the drawer system of storage. The crisper is large and the drawer above the crisper allows storage for left overs and small things needed often.
My main issue with the fridge is it is difficult to clean properly. There was no instruction on the owners manual that I received giving me clear indication of how to remove drawers and shelves to give the inside a really thorough clean. My experience has been that the drawers are not easily removed and the glass shelf on top of the narrow drawer above the crisper is permanently fixed. I’m quite reticent about just pulling things about in these appliances as if it breaks, it will cost me a small fortune to have it repaired. It would appear that the clever young designers who think these things up, have never actually had to clean a fridge where something has been forgotten at the back of the fridge and turned into green slime. How do they propose to mop it all up if the shelves are fixed in place and drawers difficult to remove?
Externally it looks good and mechanically it functions well; however, I’m not impressed with the internal design as far as cleaning it is concerned. I had a simpler designed fridge in the 1990’s that was much easier to pull apart and clean and put back together, and it wasn’t Electrolux.
Plenty of space
Overall very good, the only issue is the ice maker in the freezer which is marginally small & difficult to get back in with water.
