We've had our V8 Animal for over a year now and I love it...except for one thing, I have arthritis, mainly in my hands, and trying to hold the trigger down constantly makes it quite painful and I have to keep swapping hands every few minutes. I've noticed a couple of others have commented on the trigger issue, particularly for arthritis sufferers and I am pretty sure that there are others who have had the same problem yet not given feedback here. Is Dyson looking into this issue at all? Is it possible that a design change to incorporate, or replace the current trigger with one that say, clicks into place to avoid the user having to hold it in all the time? Or even have a clip that can (easily) be moved down over the trigger to hold it in place. This would be a boon for fellow arthritis sufferers and could be used as a selling point for an otherwise fantastic product.

We have had our Dyson V8 Animal for 4 years now. Luckily we bought additional warranty as its been back twice and about to go back again for a 3rd time. With timber floors and short hair dogs the normal power with power head isn't strong enough suction to lift dirt and hair. Reasonable to expect it would suck sufficiently on normal power on timber. Insufficient suction so have to use the full max and even then, it leaves dirt behind and battery is insufficient to do all rooms. Battery life is pitiful and with a replacement battery 17months old it too has reduced to 3mins charged use. So yes Dyson V8 Animal does suck, but for the wrong reason. I do not recommend.

I purchased the V8 Animal a couple of weeks ago (June 2020) and I'm VERY pleased with the suction power on low setting and battery life. i can easily do our 3 bedroom house on 1 charge (we also have an inside cat & dog = lots of fur). Previously I HATED vacuuming, yet the V8 makes it sooo easy and quick that I actually enjoy doing a quick vacuum every so often. the charging bracket is amazing too... money well spent for those blokes who avoid vacuuming... Thank you Dyson.
