Great vacuum
Was over buying cheap stick vacuums that stop working effectively after a month
The Dyson is powerful well designed and built

I have just recently purchased the Dyson V8 Animal Extra vacuum from the Dyson web site and it has met all my expectations. What a wonderful little work horse it is. This is my every day machine and vacuums up the dog hair with ease, leaving the carpets clean and hair free. Very lightweight and so much lighter than my previous Dyson DC35 which lasted many years. Being light weight and easy to use is a priority due to my arthritis and It is very easy to move around the house, under cupboards, beds etc. So amazed at how quiet it is and the charge time is brilliant. Just love its new sleek design. All components just slip on so easy for the different jobs I want to do. Emptying it is a breeze and so very easy and another plus is the decent bin. Apart from all these positives it also looks great.
Too expensive for what it is.
Was given this vacuum as a gift for Christmas as I really wanted one. I had a Dyson previously but a corded pull along type. Had it for a number of years and it was on the way out and was annoying as the vacuum tube would get caught around the base all the time.
But it did a fantastic job otherwise.
This stick type is not great on my timber floors, and going from floor to carpet is just ridiculous and you can't have it on the higher speed as you can't move it properly, and so you have to have it on low and doesn't pick everything up.
It's really only good for doing quick clean ups and not a full house clean, which I half expected anyway. I have a two story house and can only vacuum one level at a time, which is fine.
It doesn't do near enough the job of my old vacuum.
Disappointed that I even asked for it and wouldn't go out and buy it myself.
I should have stuck to what I know.
It's just a very expensive dust buster to be honest.
