My old faithful dc30 stick finally died and I decided instead of working out what was wrong, I had the cash so I would upgrade to a newer Dyson. I should not gavevwasted my time, this machine the v7 is useless, doesn't pick up small pieces of grass even off the carpet. Take the motor head off and its even more useless. If I sweep into a pile it doesn't even suck up the dust and hair. Wish I didnt waste my money. Now I'll try to fix my dc30! At least that was fit for purpose! Wish I read the reviews, I genuinely thought Dyson was better than to put out rubbish machines!

My previous Dyson Vacuum Cleaner lasted over 5 years, and I never need to call support for any issue. I have to replace it when it finally stopped working (almost 6 years) which is fair enough. v7 was the replacement, and with only less than a month use, the bin cover came off when I was vacuuming. I think it’s very poorly built for an expensive piece of equipment, even though it is the lowest entry point for their vacuum cleaners. I wish I had read these reviews about battery life before I bought this. I trusted the brand and bought another one without any hesitation due to a positive experience. I thought the technology would only be better with time, and not expecting the quality to be this bad. On the plus side, their support team is very professional and has a video call function, which helps to describe the issue. Support team was extremely professional, knowledgeable and polite.

Purchased two of these. Were great vacuums for 12 months and then both batteries stopped charging. Get 25 seconds out of the vacuum before it dies. When I spend this much on a vacuum I expect more than 12 months of use. Nowhere in the material that I could see nor when I was sold the product, was I told that you would need to replace the battery.
