The De La Espada Vega B Dining Chair is a striking fusion of sculptural form and refined materiality, offering a bold statement piece for contemporary dining spaces. Designed by Anthony Guerrée and crafted in Danish Oiled Walnut with a softly upholstered seat in Sunniva 0783, Vega B takes its name from the North Star, symbolising both constancy and forward vision. With its totemic three-legged base and crescent moon backrest, this chair plays with geometry, balance, and contrast.

Vega B is distinguished by the orientation of its gently curved backrest, an elegant counterpoint to the strong, architectural frame. The compact, three-legged design lends it a unique silhouette that holds presence from every angle, while the padded seat ensures comfort during extended meals or conversation. Its bold visual language is softened by the tactile richness of the materials, creating a dynamic interplay between strength and subtlety.

Handcrafted at De La Espada’s solar-powered factory in Portugal, the chair’s solid walnut frame is built using traditional joinery techniques and finished by hand with a non-toxic Danish oil, revealing the depth and variation of the timber grain. The Sunniva 0783 upholstery, woven by a renowned Danish textile partner, introduces a sophisticated blue-grey tone and wool-rich texture, complementing the warmth of the walnut and enhancing the chair’s refined, modern character.
Danish Oiled Walnut for Lasting Beauty

Sourced from the midwestern United States, American black walnut is revered for its strength and rich, expressive grain. Each piece offers unique colour variation, from deep chocolate tones to lighter blond sapwood. Finished with Danish oil, the timber’s natural beauty is enhanced while maintaining a surface that can be renewed over time.

Sunniva 0783

Sunniva 0783 is a finely woven textile designed by Fanny Aronsen and Raf Simons for Kvadrat. Its subtle blue-grey tone is created through a two-tone weave, adding softness and dimension. With a wool-rich composition and 50,000 Martindale rubs, it pairs refined texture with long-lasting performance.

From Forest to Finish

Produced in De La Espada’s solar-powered workshop near Portugal’s Silver Coast, each piece is crafted by independent master artisans. Combining modern precision with traditional handwork, the process is tailored to bring out the finest qualities of every material used.

Intricate Joinery for Lasting Integrity

Rather than opting for simplified construction, De La Espada products are composed of multiple precisely crafted components. This intricate joinery allows for optimal timber grain direction, refined shaping, and durable long grain-to-long grain bonds—resulting in furniture with unmatched depth, strength, and detail.
