Danish Oiled Walnut for Lasting Beauty
Sourced from the midwestern United States, American black walnut is revered for its strength and rich, expressive grain. Each piece offers unique colour variation, from deep chocolate tones to lighter blond sapwood. Finished with Danish oil, the timber’s natural beauty is enhanced while maintaining a surface that can be renewed over time.
Natural Saddle Leather
Crafted from full-grain, vegetable-tanned cowhide, our saddle leather is formed by hand at a specialist workshop in Leiria, Portugal. As a natural material, each sling features its own markings and grain variations, lending every chair a sense of individuality and artisanal character.
Base 0004
Designed by Sahco, Base 004 is a premium blended textile made from polyacrylic, new wool, cotton, and nylon. Its richly textured weave offers a refined, tactile surface, while its durability, rated at 35,000 Martindale rubs, ensures it stands up beautifully to everyday use in both residential and commercial settings.

Produced in De La Espada’s solar-powered workshop near Portugal’s Silver Coast, each piece is crafted by independent master artisans. Combining modern precision with traditional handwork, the process is tailored to bring out the finest qualities of every material used.
