Striking a balance between architectural form and inviting comfort, the Belle Reeve Sofa System by Luca Nichetto is a modular masterpiece designed for flexible living. This configuration—a long sofa with two flat armrests—offers a grounded, low-slung profile, softened by the tactile richness of Phlox 243 upholstery and elevated on brass feet for a subtle touch of refinement. With its elegant silhouette and personalised components, Belle Reeve invites you to create a seating arrangement that’s as expressive as it is functional.

The design allows for extraordinary versatility. Interchangeable components—such as arms, tables, and back panels—can be combined in countless ways, while the deep seat and tailored cushions ensure comfort at every angle. In this version, a pair of flat armrests enhances the sofa’s linear form, while the natural warmth of the White Oiled Oak frame adds depth and character. The result is a sofa that feels sculptural yet relaxed—ideal for open-plan living spaces, reading rooms, or curated lounges.

Built at De La Espada’s solar-powered factory in Portugal, the Belle Reeve Sofa showcases the brand’s commitment to enduring craftsmanship. The solid oak frame, sustainably sourced from Europe, features hand-applied, non-toxic finishes and traditional joinery for long-term resilience. Upholstered in Phlox 243, a sophisticated fabric supplied by a leading Danish textile house, the sofa is as comfortable as it is beautifully composed—inviting daily use while standing as a design statement in its own right.
White Oiled Oak

Sourced from the eastern United States and Croatia, white oak is a dense, durable hardwood prized for its subtle grain and timeless appeal. Finished with a hand-applied white oil, the surface retains its natural character while offering a soft, matte glow. The finish is easily renewable, allowing the timber to be reconditioned over time for lasting beauty.

Brushed Brass Feet

Brushed brass brings a warm, refined accent to each piece. Carefully textured for a soft sheen, the surface is protected with Renaissance Wax to gently slow oxidisation while preserving its natural lustre. This finish adds an elegant contrast to timber frames and complements both classic and contemporary interiors.

From Forest to Finish

Produced in De La Espada’s solar-powered workshop near Portugal’s Silver Coast, each piece is crafted by independent master artisans. Combining modern precision with traditional handwork, the process is tailored to bring out the finest qualities of every material used.

Intricate Joinery for Lasting Integrity

Rather than opting for simplified construction, De La Espada products are composed of multiple precisely crafted components. This intricate joinery allows for optimal timber grain direction, refined shaping, and durable long grain-to-long grain bonds—resulting in furniture with unmatched depth, strength, and detail.

Material Notes
Timber is sustainable solid wood from North America or Europe, offering long-term repairability of the surface. Natural colour and grain variations in every plank make each piece an individual. Traditional wood joinery bonded with wood glue ensures structural integrity. All finishes are non-toxic and applied by hand, sprayed or rubbed.
