Internal screws rusting out
Although the inside of the oven is protected with a coating, it seems that the microwave 'glass' in the top of the oven is only attached with 3 screws and retaining plates, being of poor quality, so that they rust and also leave a weak point for the coating as well. So now the oven has 3 rusted holes inside it. No help from warranty repair/replace despite obvious product/design defect
Lousy product!
Worked less than 2 years after installation, but unfortunately I delayed installation due to renovation delays, so it's out of warranty now.
It keeps coming up with EO511 error, and for a $185 call out and a 2-week delay, Bosch told me it would cost $770 to repair the operating module programmed, with no reassurance that this will fix it permanently. But at least now I can turn on my cooktop, which is on the same switch, since the Bosch oven is now disconnected.
After having to be so careful about moisture (which I read about soon after I bought it that it was a problem for this machine), and to have this drama come up anyway, I doubt I could have done anything to prevent it, and it's just a lousy expensive product.
I so wish now I had returned this oven a couple years after I bought it -- it would have cost me less to return it then, than it costs to repair or replace it now.
I forever miss my Toshiba Calolier Convection Microwave Oven and I regret ever listening to a property valuer tell me I needed a built-in oven.
Needless to say, I don't think I'll be buying Bosch again as I don't trust them anymore.
Was good until it stopped working
Only lasted 4 years. Would have thought something super expensive would last longer than that. Defintely not worth the money. Ive had cheap ones last longer than this.
