This rangehood exceeds expectations. Quiet, yes. Powerful, yes. Great LED lighting, yes! Easy to clean, yes! Make sure to get the pelmet to suit your kitchen.

I've been using this for a month now as part of a new kitchen with all-Bosch appliances including this rangehood. I've been very impressed by how quiet this rangehood is even at higher settings (it probably helps that I've been able to duct this hood externally rather than have to operate in recycle mode) - it's so quiet in the lowest setting that you can easily forget it's even switched on - but also by how effective it is at extracting steam and cooking fumes. The controls are simple to use and the dual LED lights are very bright and good to know they are consuming minimal power. Just be aware that this model requires the purchase and fitment of a separate bar at the front - supply your own to match your kitchen cabinets or purchase one from Bosch (I chose the stainless steel to coordinate with the other appliances). Very happy with this purchase.

Pros: Powerful, very quiet compared to old unit we had Cons: doesn’t turn on automatically when you pull it out, and you have to pull it out at least a little to turn it on (making it a two step process). Interestingly it does turn off automatically when you push it closed (after 10 minutes of very quiet low power mode) The handle/front cover is purchased separately for an extra $50. Still good value with the extra $50 but I feel this should be hightlighted at time of purchase. The handle itself is fiddlier to install than the unit itself and has a lower build quality.
