This is a wonderful product and works very well to pick up dog hair and other dust from carpet and hard floors. It is well made and though was a bit hard to put together as the last part of the information was not clear to do with the accessories, it was great once done. One the down side though it is very heavy, heavier than a pull along vacuum cleaner. A bit hard to use for an older person or someone now strong enough. When using the attachments it could topple over as need to be held with one hand while using cleaning tool with the other. Better than any other vacuum I’ve tried for getting rid of dog hair definitely though.

The non-retracting cord gets in the way a bit, but I suppose it would be hard to have a retracting corn with this type of vacuum. The vacuum is pretty heavy to manoeuvre and does not vacuum near walls and edges very well so I find myself detaching the hose and using it constantly, but at least that is very easy to remove and replace. But half the time I find myself using the hose instead of the main vacuum. Handles dust and pet hair well, but does not handle things like pieces of paper or larger leaves well at all, as they get stuck at the point the hose joins the barrel, and then when you detach the barrel they fall all over the place, so that does seem like a flaw in the design, as if that area was just a bit wider they'd get sucked into the dust storage area, but instead they get stuck in the narrow gap between the filter and the side. Otherwise works well though, and the lights are handy. I haven't used the power head much as I don't have carpet, only rugs, but it works decently well on the rugs. You do have to use it on a rug now and then though, as that's the only way to get the fur off the power head when it's not going, as it does build up there, then when you do move to a rug, it all comes off in chunks there if you don't use it.

This is best vacuum I have used suction is great was very much surprised with the amount of dust that was picked up and how clean carpet looked.
