Designed by Ann Demeulemeester, the De collection showcases the technique of chiaroscuro: the play and contrast between light and shadow. Characteristic of Demeulemeester's style, this aesthetic is exquisitely translated into tableware. The result is a collection of shadow paintings on porcelain. The delicately designed De plates are edged with a dégradé, painted by hand in several layers so that each one is unique. This variation has fine black feathering on the surface almost entirely covered in meticulously applied black paint strokes.
