Winning Appliances Food News December

From life-size gingerbread houses to seafood giveaways and Summer Nights Markets; there’s a whole host of festive events in this month’s food news.

Behind The Scenes At Black Star Pastry Sydney

Earlier this month vendors in Sydney’s Rosebery hosted a block party and a behind the scenes tour of well-loved bakery Black Star Pasty was one of the main draws for foodies. Hosted by Black Stay Pastry’s owner and head chef Christopher Thé, the tour offered an insight into the origins of Black Star’s famous Strawberry Watermelon cake. Originally created as a summery wedding cake, the cream, fruit and dacquoise layers are infused with a Middle Eastern inspired rose water. The Rosebery store now creates an incredible 2300 slices of Strawberry Watermelon cake every day. Have you tried it yet?
