Eat

A short walk from the Winning Taren Point store is local favourite Bud Café. Hidden in the Flower Power Garden Centre (so you can grab some blooms for the garden too!), Bud Café is a great place to stop for drink. Their single origin espresso, house made fresh chai and matcha green tea latte all come highly recommended. You’ll also find a tempting number of baked goods at the café, including Brasserie Bread, Oregano Bakery cinnamon scrolls, Byron Bay cookies and Pronuts (protein infused donuts!).

At Alexander’s Café, also within walking distance of the Winning store, you can tuck into a big brekkie or one of their colourful cakes and enjoy it at their outdoor seating area.

For something a bit more unique plan your visit for the first Sunday of the month and you’ll find the Taren Point Foodies Market at Taren Point Bowling Club. Local farmers and artisans come together to sell fruit and vegetables fresh from the farm as well as homemade arts and crafts. There’s always a range of freshly cooked food on offer and it’s a great place for cooks to stock up on organic preserves, oils and spices.
