We wanted to shine some light on the ASKO Laundry range - and, in particular, two outstanding examples from their selection that have recently won prestigious Red Dot awards.
The winners are from the "Logic" user interface range - the 8kg Front Loading Washing Machine W4086C and 8kg Front Loading Heat Pump Dryer T408HD - both of which have been awarded with the Red Dot "Best of the Best" award.
The Fully Automated Washing Machine
Sophisticated in every detail without losing focus on the everyday needs of the user, this matches an elegantly balanced aesthetic with high-quality material selection and automated convenience.
Perhaps the highlight is the user interface with its highly responsive touch-sensitive buttons as well as a convenient rotary knob. Simplifying the process, all programmes can be combined and adjusted to personal needs with the mode function and there is an option to hide only rarely used programmes. Meanwhile the intuitive operational guidance from left to right allows users to easily trace the wash process on the user interface.
The Red Dot jury commented: "It is a user-friendly and flexible device that especially impresses with comfortable operation and user guidance. Its clear design knows how to do without any superfluous elements and, in this way, achieves a particular unity of form and function. Further beautifully implemented design solutions are the freely suspended drum and the loading hatch."

The Front Loading Tumble Dryer
A perfect complement to the washing machine, this dryer matches its counterpart with a beautifully beautifully minimalist aesthetic - in accord with the tradition of Scandinavian design - along with advanced standards of usability. The panel interface allows the user to easily track the drying process, with simple navigation between programs.
The user interface has been conceived in a natural left to right arrangement, facilitating the use of the tumble dryer and allowing users to easily trace the drying process. Durable buttons and a solid metal rotary knob give immediate feedback, guaranteeing a pleasant handling.
On this superb appliance, the Red Dot panel commented: "With a design focused on individual needs, this tumble dryer makes drying clothes a special experience. The straightforward and minimalist machine impresses with a user guidance that dispenses with any superfluous features but is simply fun to use due to its quick and comfortable operation."
