Winning Appliances is delighted to announce the launch of our brand new Fortitude Valley store.

More than 240 guests gathered last Thursday night to celebrate the opening of this spectacular showroom. The occasion was marked by a ribbon cutting ceremony and speeches by John Winning, CEO of the Winning Group, and David Woollcott, CEO of Winning Appliances.

John, who cut the ribbon alongside his mother Kerrie, used his address to emphasise the importance of both the launch and Winning Appliances’ presence in Queensland: “It means so much to me, my family and the team. We had a really good feeling about the opportunity here and knew we had something quite unique to offer. Our Queensland customers love our service as much as we love serving them.”

Featuring a Welcome To Country from Songwoman Maroochy, the event honoured the past while looking ahead to a bright future for Winning Appliances and its Queensland customers.

This beautiful new showroom, located in the heart of Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, is another example of Winning Appliances’ commitment to delivering world-class customer service in a world-class space. A state-of-the-art facility featuring a full working Experience Kitchen, it represents a superb way to experience our leading range of appliances.

David Woollcott said: “This is an incredible and exciting time for Winning Appliances. I believe this showroom is unique in Australia and in fact, I haven’t seen anything on this level on a global scale that allows our partners - our suppliers - to showcase their cutting-edge technologies with such style.”
“We are extremely proud of what we have achieved over the past 18 months and I would like to thank all of the team.”

Attended by VIPs including kitchen designers, architects and suppliers, the launch party was an impressive occasion, which used the theme “Golden Age of Retail” as inspiration. Tropical luxe flowers and a beautiful champagne tower were among the glamorous details that ensured a spectacular evening!

Meanwhile, guests were treated to a sensational degustation menu including confit duck tacos, Avruga caviar and confit salmon waffles, Pho caviar and southern rock lobster - with desserts like liquid nitrogen Jerusalem artichoke and truffle ice cream cones served in the Winning Experience Kitchen.

A competition was also run on the night, with clues relating to Winning Appliances’ 111 heritage and history in Queensland. The grand prize went to Terri Smallbone, with other prize winners Abra Woodward and Amanda James, who were all awarded Winning Appliances gift vouchers.

Having enjoyed this brilliant launch party, the team at the Winning Appliances Fortitude Valley store are now ready to bring even bigger and better things to the people of Brisbane.

“We are really excited to serve Queensland customers into the future for many years to come,” said John Winning, “We are 111 years old and have many years ahead of us, and like NSW, we want to grow to become a significant piece of kitchen and home design in Queensland.”
