2.5 years old, stopped generating steam, typically 6 months out of warranty. Leaking all over the place and no way of repairing it

The iron may look nice and produce some steam, but it is just rubbish. It broke within 6 months of purchase. It was repaired under warranty, so I spent nearly a month without an iron. When it came back it doesn't iron well at all. It does turn on it does produce the steam - sometimes a lot and sometimes very little, but most of the time I can spend 10 minutes ironing a thin linen or cotton dress and it will be creased anyway. The "Powerful steam - Strong, continuous steam for effective crease removal of even the most stubborn creases on the thickest fabrics." is a load of rubbish. I had a different Philips steam iron before and that was working as it should, this one is just a waste of time and money.

I bought this second hand and by far it is the best steam iron I have ever owned it breezes through ironing jobs like a professional garment steamer would most clothing items I only had to do one side it is that effective at its job. The automatic steam function is fantastic and I did three full baskets of ironing on one water tank and most were heavy work wear.
