We bought this fridge in 2018 after moving away from Samsungs as had bad exprience with their reliability. Was hoping for better from LG. Sadly that isn't the case. The fridge is great, when it works. But in the last 6 years we have had 1) Failed left door (electronics/display went kaput) after 4 years. Fortunately we had the extended warranty which fixed that; 2) Ice maker died after 5 yeards - I fixed that myself with replacement parts 3) Failed/failing door sensors for the last 6 months starting off with intermittent "door open" alarm but now its permanent. I trouble shooted all the issues noted on the LG website without any help. A few months back I also replaced the fridge door seals thinking it was that but it didn't really make any difference. Now we are looking at an out of warranty repair which may be $$$$ if it is electronics. Hope there are parts available. SO, yeah, for a fridge to have so many failings in 6 years is a major concern about the long term reliability. I now don't really trust the brand any more. Sad.
