Winning Appliances attends the exclusive launch of ASKO’s new Wok Burner

On Tuesday morning, Winning Appliances had the privilege of attending the exclusive launch of ASKO’s new Fusion Volcano Wok Burner.

We were not only treated to a delicious breakfast at Simmer on the Bay, we also enjoyed a talk from highly esteemed interior designer and The Block Judge Shaynna Blaze, and an interactive demonstration by Fork ‘n’ Knife’s Chef, Daniel Abou-Chedid.

In the demo, Daniel showed off the impressive ability of the new range of work burners made exclusively by ASKO.

So, what’s so impressive about the Volcano Wok Burner? Well, unlike regular wok cooking, the Volcano Wok Burner generates a vast amount of heat and effectively directs it to the base of the wok, rather than just around the sides, enabling improved heat for truly professional results.

Incredibly, the Volcano even maintains the high temperature as you add more ingredients – allowing professional wok cooking just like the traditional Asian method!

But don’t be fooled, whilst wok cooking is traditionally associated with Asian cooking, there’s no reason why you can’t experiment with other cuisines. In fact, Chef Daniel showed us how to cook perfect scrambled eggs (it’s all about creating those delicious ribbons!) and an al dente Fettuccine Boscaiola, all in the Volcano. Our CEO, David Crane even stepped in to give him a hand with his Green Chicken Curry!
