Willows Home Traders
Owner Amelia says ‘colour is religion’ at her interiors store Willows Home Traders. Stocking a range of art, bedding and furniture, the store is a kaleidoscope of colour bursting with richly layered texture. Building on their art focus the store will soon be offering personal, one-on-one art consultations – bringing the traditional concept of a gallery into a relaxed, retail environment. This Studio will also offer private home styling consultations, artist exhibitions and styling workshops.

Cooks Hill Galleries
Cooks Hill Galleries have been Newcastle’s premier commercial gallery for the last 40 years. Throughout their 4 gallery rooms you can view pieces by some of Australia’s best-loved artists, including; Sydney Nolan, Brett Whitely, John Olsen, Margaret Olley, Norman Lindsay, Pro Hart and more.
There is a great variety of work on display (for both exhibition and sale), plus the venue also hosts book launches and fundraising events within its art-laden walls.

A partnership between the Darby Street traders and local students transformed this regular laneway into an appealing place to wander. With the installation of new lighting, seating, plants and contemporary wall art by artists such as One Mike, Darby Lane is a great place to photograph on your visit to Darby Street.

Acclaimed as Newcastle’s original eat street, Darby Street is home to more than 25 cool cafes and award-winning restaurants. Coco Monde Chocolateria
Our local friends tell us that Coco Monde Chocolateria make the best chocolate in Australia, if not the world! This vintage French themed restaurant and café serves breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as decadent desserts and chocolate themed afternoon tea. The hot chocolate and crepes with chocolate and hazelnut sauce come highly recommended.

The Hop Factory
The Hop Factory is Newcastle’s Home of Craft Beer, offering both a Craft Beer Cafe & Restaurant experience at this family-owned business. The Hop Factory has over 20 craft beers on tap which they have paired with a menu including pork belly, salmon fillet and rib eye steak. The venue also hosts Beer Experience events and focuses on live music from local bands.
