Stunning design meets hardworking practicality in this meticulous makeover.
Conceived as an elegant showpiece to double as a hardworking culinary hub, this kitchen makeover in Sydney’s Scarborough hits the brief with its winning combination of refined sophistication and elevated functionality.
There’s plenty for purists to enthuse over in the realisation of the stunning design courtesy of Concepts by Gavin Hepper. Yet also, cooks and culinary enthusiasts alike will delight in the details of a suite of Fisher & Paykel appliances that form the kitchen’s beating heart.
A Series 9 60cm Minimal Pyrolytic Built-In Oven offers a spacious 85-litre capacity, the choice of 16 functions, and guided touchscreen controls. It also offers AeroTech heat distribution technology, optimised moisture control via ActiveVent and a handy pyrolytic self-cleaning function.
It twins with the Series 7 60cm Induction Cooktop, which makes meal prep a breeze with PowerBoost touch-and-slide controls and a SmartZone function to link zones to accommodate larger cookware. Overhead, a Series 9 60cm Under Cupboard Rangehood is cleverly hidden, yet ever-present to whisk cooking odours away.
A Series 7 Fully Integrated Dishwasher with a three-stage filtration system and Wi-Fi connectivity via the SmartHQ app, and a 476L Integrated French Door Fridge complete with ActiveSmart food preservation technology, complete this advanced set, with the fridge impressively hidden from sight by precision cabinetry.
Also cleverly concealed by the Concepts by Gavin Hepper design is an appliance hub found behind Salice pocket doors. The nook doubles as a coffee station or evening bar, complete with a slide-out shelf for ease of use.
A striking feature are the surfaces and splashbacks of Ijen Blue Quartzite that not only add visual drama, but also balance the warmth of Florentine Walnut joinery along with subtle highlights of brushed brass.
Architectural lighting includes LED shelving accents, ambient cabinetry lighting and a dynamic track system, all controlled via remote access.
Adding further practicality, there’s even a drop-down bistro-style dining extension from the island, ideal for spontaneous gatherings.
